ASP, Tero

Tero Asp was born in 1948. He is married and has two children (ages 24 and 20). In 1977 he became a History teacher at the University of Helsinki, and has been a Career counselor since 1980 at Abo Akademi (The swedish university of Turku). Mr. Asp’s interest in graphology began in 1957. His main activities as a graphologist include personnel testing for more than 20 companies, comparisons of signatures, and teaching graphology. He has been the Chairman of the Society of Graphology for Finland since 1989.

BRADLEY, Nigel

Nigel Bradley was born in Derbyshire and now lives in London. He is married and has a daughter and a son. He is a Westminster University Lecturer in Marketing and also works as a consultant Market Researcher. He does not consider himself to be a graphologist but he is a big supporter of the subject. His interest began around 1981 and he followed the British Academy of Graphology training over three years. In 1987 he started a symposium for graphology research at Oxford. Nigel Bradley has written and edited some graphology books (including a five language dictionary) and over 30 articles. He also started a monthly newssheet (Graphology Digest) in 1994. He operates a book selling business and has created several discussion groups and several web sites all in six languages.

 

BURNS, Angelika

Dr. Angelika Burns has earned a PhD in Psychology/Philosophy (Basle), and a diploma in graphology (Basle). Apart from her Thesis, Persönlichkeit und Demokratie bei Gordon W. Allport (Personality and Democracy in Gordon W. Allport’s work), she has published several articles in La Graphologie and Zeitschrift für Schriftpsychologie und Schriftvergleichung. She is very interested in Clinical Psychology and everything related to conflict management. Her major activities revolve around preparing graphological analyses in assessment of job applicants. She is responsible for the Société Romande de Graphology. Angelika Burns is married and has three children.




DE MONCHY, Maresi

Maresi de Monchy has been certified as a Graphologist by the NOG (Dutch Graphological Society) and the EGS (Europäische Gesellschaft für Schriftpsychologie/Switzerland) since 1979. As a full-time graphologist, her practice focuses on personnel selection and document examination. She works in collaboration with two psychology offices, specializing in personnel selection and children’s handwritings. Her studies in handwriting include phobia, leadership qualities, defense mechanisms and intelligence, and she is involved in a research project with two psychologists from the University Alonso Ibañez (Santiago de Chile) of the graphological selection procedure of postgraduate MBA students.She is currently studying for her Masters degree in Psychology, and is a teacher of graphology at the school of the NOG and in Santiago de Chile. She has given workshops in the Netherlands, England, the United States, Germany, Denmark and Chili.President of NOG since 1995, Mrs. De Monchy is a member of the Scientific Board of the EGS, co-founder of the ISPH (Institute of Handwriting therapy – ‘Cor Haenen-v.d.Hout, Netherlands) and a co-founder and board member of the IGC.

 

DOSCH, Esther

German born, Esther Dosch lives in Switzerland. She originally qualified as an architect and later became an artist, specializing in portraits. She further studied Psychology at the Institute for Applied Psychology in Zurich, and Graphology at the Graphological Seminaire Zurich, under Listenow. She became a professional member of the Schweizer Graphologische Gesellschaft in 1985. Since then she has been working as a professional and consultant graphologist and teaches graphology in many countries. She is also a scientific consultant, examination expert and supervisor of the Europaïsche Gesellschaft für Schriftpsychologie und Schriftexpertise (EGS). She was honored to be appointed as a Senator in 2000. She is also a senior consultant of the International Graphological Colloquium. She has presented papers at many international congresses and written some 20 articles for various graphological periodicals, many in translation into other languages. Esther Dosch has also edited a book on the varieties of stroke quality (Graphologie des Striches).

 

HERBERT, Lorraine

Lorraine Herbert started learning graphology at the end of 1984, graduated from the British Academy of Graphology in 1987 and gained an Advanced Diploma in 1993. Since then she has been practising, mainly in recruitment, but also helping people in search of self-knowledge. She has also lectured extensively. She set up Scriptor Books for the BAOG, editing many of the books we published, as well as their Journal, "Graphology", and formed part of the team which ran the London College of Graphology for 5 years. She still continue to edit books and articles and have also become involved in devising a core curriculum for the IGC, an ongoing project, she is sure.




KAUFFMAN-GOETZ, Kathleen

Kathleen Kauffman-Goetz is a certified life member of the American Association of Handwriting Analysts (AAHA) and a certified member of the American Handwriting Analysts Foundation (AHAF). From 1995-2003, Kauffman served as AAHA’s Director of Education. She initiated, designed and produced AAHA’s Curriculum, Study Guide and Continuing Education Credits program for certified members. Following an unprecedented two-year review of eleven national and international graphology correspondence courses, Kauffman produced AAHA’s first Suggested Course list. Elected to two terms of office as AAHA’s Director of Accreditation, she created new exams for the Associate and Certification levels with grader’s scoring guides and twenty-six exam-related documents. Appointed as AAHA’s first Reciprocity Chairperson, Kathy was instrumental in bringing about certification reciprocity between AHAF and AAHA. Kauffman operates a personality profiling business that specializes in placement of upper management candidates and corporate team building and compatibility.Kauffman holds a BS degree in Education and has successfully conducted remedial reading and writing classes for at-risk, and learning disabled children, grades K-3.

 

KEEFE, Bernadette

Bernadette Keefe is married, with a son and a daughter. She is a full-time graphologist. She qualified with the British Academy of Graphology Advanced Diploma in 1992 and then began private practice as The Graphology Consultancy Limited. She is Vice-Principal of the BAOG (1994-96) and Governor of The London College of Graphology (1996-2001). Currently she is tutor to both organisations and examiner for the LCOG. Special interest is Szondi, on which she has lectured to graphologists in the UK and abroad.






LOWE, Sheila

Sheila Lowe was born in England, but has lived in the United States for most of her life. She began studying graphology in 1967 and has been a court-qualified handwriting expert for more than twenty years. The author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Handwriting Analysis, Handwriting of the Famous and Infamous and the award-winning Sheila Lowe’s Handwriting Analyzer software, she is editor and publisher of The Vanguard newsletter for handwriting professionals and serious students, and numerous monographs and articles about handwriting and personality. Her next book, Poison Pen, is a mystery featuring handwriting expert, Claudia Rose. Sheila moderates the Vanguard Forum Online international discussion list.



MOODY, Pat

Pat Moody is a retired medical librarian in Margate, Kent, in the south-east corner of England. Her original degree from the University of London was in German and French but she gradually migrated to the sciences. Her first library job was at the headquarters of the British Medical Association in London. After earning a postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Studies, she joined the Civil Service, working for the Health and Safety Executive, the occupational health regulatory body. From there she moved to the south coast to become information librarian and tutor to the Brighton School of Pharmacy, where she stayed for 12 years. Her work in the bibliography of handwriting analysis is well known. It began back in the 1960s, and she now has a database of nearly 30,000 items

 

QUIGLEY, Elaine

Elaine Quigley has an honours degree in Psychology and History and a background in Youth Work, which led her to respond to the fascination of Graphology back in the 1970s.After many years as an amateur, she decided that she felt confident in using graphology professionally and, when the British Institute of Graphologists (BIG) was formed in 1983, she joined and took the exams and qualified, when the examination system was set up. She broke the mould and became the first female chairperson of the BIG to be elected. It is nearly the end of her three year tenure, during which she enjoyed the hard work and the good learning experience. Working as a counsellor, lecturer and adviser to business, as well as giving talks all over the country, keeps her busy and satisfied

 

SHAHRARAY, Mehrnaz

Dr. Mehrnaz Shahraray has obtained her Ph. D. in Education with specialization in Child Development from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). She is doing clinical work and also research on identity issues within a cross-cultural perspective.Dr. Shahraray is Associate Professor of Psychology, at the School of Psychology and Education, University for Teacher Training, Tehran, Iran. During the summer months she teaches at the Ph.D. level in Carpinteria, Ca. She is also a lecturer in a number of universities in Iran and in the United States. She was on the second board of directors of the Iranian Psychological Association (IPA).Dr. Shahraray is married and has a daughter and a son.

 

SIEGEL, Pat

Patricia Siegel is a professional handwriting consultant, both as a graphologist and as a handwriting identification expert. She has a B.S. degree from Cornell University, majoring in child development and family relations, and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at New York University.She studied Psychology of Handwriting and Forensic Expertise under Daniel and Florence Anthony at The New School for Social Research (Today, New School University). From 1978-1995, she was a faculty member in this university, where she was co-instructor for accredited psychology of handwriting courses. Currently she teaches graphology privately. She has also qualified as a handwriting identification expert in Federal, New York and New Jersey State courts. Patricia Siegel is president of the American Society of Professional Graphologists and is on the Editorial Board of their journal. She is member of the International Graphological Colloquium. She is also a consulting reader for the journal Perceptual and Motor Skills. Her publications include articles in the Journal of the American Society of Professional Graphologists, The Psychiatric Clinics of North America, The Journal of The British Academy of Graphology, a chapter in Experiencing Graphology, a chapter in Graphology Across Cultures and an essay in The Expert versus the Object. In addition to lecturing at international conferences, her analyses and views on handwriting analysis have been presented in major magazines and on television and radio.

 

TURK, Betty

Born in the English countryside of Essex, Betty Turk is the daughter of a Scottish mother and an English father. Following higher education she became a medical nursing sister in the Royal Air Force. When eighteen years old, she was loaned a book on Graphology called P's & Q's by Jerome S. Meyer which was the beginning of her profound interest in Graphology. Following family commitments, she trained seriously to further her interest in the subject. Her training consisted of a Correspondence Course with Arthur Allen, lectures at the Graphology society and the British Institute, followed by graduation in the British Academy Diploma and Advanced Diploma. Her posts undertaken are four years as joint Editor of the British Academy of Graphology while currently teaching Correspondence Students for the Academy examinations. She is also a director of UK Handwriting Analysis with her daughter Penny Graves; they do Personnel work for some firms in London and write portraits for certain papers and magazines and partake in some Judicial work.

 

VAISMAN, Lois

Lois Vaisman, MA, MSW, is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work, has a Clinical Psychoanalytic Certificate from New York University, a Master of Arts in Special Education from Queens College, and engaged in post graduate studies at Hebrew University in Israel and Bank Street School of Education. She studied graphology under Florence and Daniel Anthony and later co directed the Psychology of Handwriting Program the New School University (1980-1995). She is currently the vice President of the American Society of Professional Graphologist. As a professional graphologist and licensed psychotherapist, she combines both disciplines for use in personnel selection, contested custody/parenting disputes and individual and family psychotherapy. Lois Vaisman is a supervising clinician at Bergen Family Center, New Jersey and also maintains a private practice.

 

YALON, Dafna

Dafna Yalon first took a M.Sc. in Biochemistry and then embarked upon graphology. She has also completed a three-year program in Family Therapy and a two-year program in Strategic Therapy. She is a full-time graphologist specializing in career guidance and educational graphology. A particular area of expertise is in graphic tests and drawings of children and adults, which she studied mainly under Ursula Avé-Lallemant. Since 1987 she has been teaching educational graphology to qualified teachers in three major teachers’ colleges. She also teaches short courses and workshops on the Fundamentals of Graphology to other professionals such as psychologists, art therapists and occupational therapists. In 1995, together with Chana Ben-Zion, she won a special award of the Benor fund of the Israel Psychological Society for her research work on the Star-Wave Test as a predictor of school maturity. She has lectured extensively internationally, published numerous articles in major professional journals in Europe and U.S.A., and co-authored with Rudi Danor, a book on the Wittlich system (Towards Scientific Graphology). She further edited Graphology across Cultures – A Universal Approach to Graphic Diversity, about graphology in non-Roman writing systems.She is past president of the Society for Scientific Graphology (Israel), and has also edited the Society’s journal Graphology, in Hebrew. She is member of the British Academy of Graphology and the Verein für Dynamische Graphologie, and is on the Executive Committee of The International Graphological Colloquium. She is married and has two children (25 and 18 years old).
