THE WORKSHOP

This workshop will offer an introduction to the graphological method of Girolamo Moretti (1879-1963). In the first part of the session Sabina Maffei will describe his theory, the signs by which it is composed and their combinations. Over the years Moretti implemented his theory, discussing four temperaments that describe the four orientations which form the human nature. Finally Moretti spoke about a dominant passion too, that is typical of each personality and drives it. Examples of handwriting analysis realized according to its system will be presented.

ABINA MAFFEI. Born in Siena in 1967, I live in Rome since 1986. In 1989 I graduated in law at the University of Rome. Afterwards I obtained a degree in graphology at the University of Urbino (1999). For several years my main activity has been translating from English and German into Italian, but now my principal activity is in the graphological field: personnel selection and potential evaluation, school & education orienting, vocational guidance and personality analysis. As member of the list of handwriting experts and QD examiners of Rome and province I am a consultant for the judicial court and have been dedicating two years to the study and the applications of forensic graphology to signatures on art pieces and the psychology of falsifiers and forgers. Last but not least I continue my studies about autism and handwriting as brainwriting, an issue that I first approached four years ago when making a longitudinal analysis of 22 years of handwritings of a person with autism, nowadays an upcoming and well-valued artist.
