The Graphological Signs on the Müller / Enskat Curve, interpreted according to Pophal and Pfanne

by Dr Angelika Burns

THE WORKSHOP

Müller/Enskat and Pfanne are three German authors (of the fifties and sixties) that have put together, in the form of textbooks, the most important graphological knowledge at their time. During the workshop Dr. A. Burns will present the classical and generally investigated handwriting signs (simple and global variables) in the row of order that make up the Müller/Enskat curve. These signs are classified according to the five degrees of tension (I, II, III, IVa and IVb) as Pophal has defined them. The handwriting signs - illustrated by examples - are presented with a graphological description and a psychological interpretation according to Pfanne.

Szondi's Theory of Personality Related to Handwriting

by Bernadette Keefe

THE WORKSHOP

Dr Szondi (1893-1986) a biologist and neurologist, came to believe that our psychology was just as much genetically defined as our physical tendencies. By using Szondi’s concept of four personalities "Vectors", graphologists can understand personality as a continuing and dynamic process. The clear graphological signs attributed to his four Vectors provide ready-made and meaningful syntheses of signs, and they also provide clues for career advice.

Introduction to the graphological system of Moretti, its possibilities and links with other graphologicIntroduction to the graphological system of Moretti, its possibilities and links with other grapholoal methods

by Sabina Maffei

THE WORKSHOP

This workshop will offer an introduction to the graphological method of Girolamo Moretti (1879-1963). In the first part of the session Sabina Maffei will describe his theory, the signs by which it is composed and their combinations. Over the years Moretti implemented his theory, discussing four temperaments that describe the four orientations which form the human nature. Finally Moretti spoke about a dominant passion too, that is typical of each personality and drives it. Examples of handwriting analysis realized according to its system will be presented.

The Star-Wave Test

by Dafna Yalon

THE WORKSHOP

The Star-Wave Test (SWT), part of a graphic test battery (including also the Wartegg Test, the Tree Test and Handwriting), was developed and validated by the German graphologist and educational psychologist Ursula Avé-Lallemant (1979).

First designed for the identification of school immaturity in kindergarten, it was originally suggested as a developmental test for the ages 3 to 6, but was soon established as a personality test for all ages, children and adults alike. It can be evaluated both from a projective aspect (symbols) and from an expressive aspect (graphological analysis). In the workshop we shall present a summary of those three perspectives
